Pattern only, the pattern includes a video tutorial, the finished flag measures 6ft x 4ft
***This pattern is watermarked ( I made it as transparent as possible) due to this pattern and my images being stolen twice by 2 other Etsy sellers, Thank you***
I have bought half a dozen U.S. flag patterns trying to find that just right pattern, I found myself frustrated every time, either they were crazy time-consuming because the entire flag is made in single crochet , or I was not a fan of it being made with a granny stitch or they are square , or 3ft by 3ft and just on and on. **(Just compare to the pattern suggestions down below and see the difference, how the stars look, how the stitch looks and the size . I just had to make a pattern that was as true to the flag as possible)**
So I decided to just make my own pattern and after I made 4 US flags and 1 Thin Blue Line flag ( Instructions are included in the pattern for the Thin blue and Red line flags as well) ), I felt I needed to share this pattern for that one person trying to find that just right pattern for it. I use a unique stitch that eliminates ugly gaps and creates a lovely and solid texture and streamlined look, the corners never curl and this flag never needs to be blocked ( the images you see are right after I made that blanket for a customer, no blocking and NO curling that you get with single crochet!) ,
one of the most popular patterns I found uses 12 rows of sc for each stripe, my pattern only requires 6 rows of my stitch and you get the exact same height as making 12 rows of single crochet in inches per stripe! :) , my pattern is faster, with fewer rows while not sacrificing size , it's not square , and it's just a beautiful flag blanket!
perfect for an heirloom gift or to sell as I do
The tutorial will cover the stitch used , how to transition colors, change stripes and how to make the stars, and my pattern includes links to the yarns needed, and hooks needed
